The items donated by Vanquish Marketing Group associates included pillows, hair straighteners, hot and cold packs, and massagers. “The volunteers at the YWCA were really excited about these items,” the CEO added. “Evidently they have never received anything like the massagers or hot and cold packs before. We realized that pillows were not recycled to others once women leave the shelter, so we want to spread the word about donating pillows as far and wide as possible.”
Hair straighteners are the items which company leaders love to contribute the most. These simple accessories help women feel better about themselves and get back on their feet. The CEO stated, “They were so grateful for our donations that one of the directors asked if she could attend a meeting at Vanquish Marketing Group to explain more about what they do at the YWCA. We hope to have her come to our office since October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.”
Chris also explained that the people who work at the shelter recognize Vanquish Marketing Group associates and give out hugs when they arrive with donations. He added, “They are so appreciative of the things we donate, and it’s so rewarding to know that we can make even a small difference in these women’s lives.”
Team members also donated construction paper for the kids who are staying with their mothers in the shelter. “We hope the kids can make crafts for the upcoming holiday season just to add a bit of cheer to the difficult situations they are in,” Chris said.
