Provident Loan Society devotes this month's SPEAKeasy series to millennials who want to start their own business. Provident Loan Society President Isaac Rodriguez, will discuss why and how millennials should start their own business. This free event will also give millennials from New York an opportunity to network and ask personalized questions for starting their business.
New York, New York, April 14, 2016 (Newswire.com) - A recent Harris Poll (market research firm) survey of working adults found that 67 percent of employed Millennials (age 18 to 34) and 45 percent of workers over age 35 want to leave their traditional jobs and become self-employed. The main reasons cited for not doing so, other than lack of capital, was the fear of failure, and of not knowing what to do to successfully launch a company.
On Thursday, April 21st, Provident Loan Society of New York will be devoting its monthly SPEAKeasy series to Millennials who want to start their own business.

Isaac Rodriguez is the President and CEO of The Provident Loan Society of New York. He is also the founder of Double Eagle Process, which provides coaching, training, marketing and communications consulting services to entrepreneurs and small business owners. His professional experience includes senior banking officer positions for major financial institutions including Banco Santander, Sovereign Bank, General Electric Capital Corporation, JP Morgan Chase and the Bank of New York.
Rodriguez will delve deeper into questions Millennials should ask themselves before they launch their own business. Questions like: are you launching a company just to make money, to do what you love to do, or simply to be your own boss?
Rodriguez will discuss key operational issues in a logical and sequential order that Millennials should understand to increase their chances for success. For example, funding is required for any start-up, but business owners need to first determine how much funding is needed, and that figure is based on realistic product pricing and projected sales.
Rodriguez will spend the final 10 minutes answering any questions from attendees.
