New Brooklyn Park Day Care Center Offers Child Taxi Services for Local Families

MINNEAPOLIS, November 9, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Today's Life Schools & Child Care, a Minnesota-based child care, day care and preschool center that has served the western Twin Cities suburbs for more than a decade, has announced the opening of a new location in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, a city located just north of Minneapolis.

The company, which has operated from its location in Eden Prairie, Minnesota since 2006, will provide child taxi services for Brooklyn Park area families by late 2018.

"Our new Brooklyn Park location, opening in early 2018, will be licensed for 118 children and will continue to offer the same strong curriculum currently used at our Eden Prairie location. The center will offer a taxi service for its clients. This service will commute children to and from home," said Today's Life Schools & Child Care CEO Bruno D. "Many parents over the years have been asking if we have such a service. No local daycare center does. At a time when people order more and more frequently online and have goods delivered to their homes, we think they are ready for this type of service and that they will use it. The taxi service will be offered to all families that need it."

The taxi service can be used by families to have their children dropped off or picked up from home, dropped off at private family activities, events or doctor appointments, as long as an authorized family member or parent will receive the children at arrival. The service will be available all day during the center's hours of operation.

Passenger taxi fares will be determined by a taximeter, a device that calculates ride costs based on distance traveled and waiting time.

The taxi drivers employed by Today's Life Schools and Child Care will have to meet the same job qualifications as Minnesota's public school bus drivers.

In addition to its taxi services, Today's Life Schools & Child Care's new center will offer fee-based optional busing services. These services will follow established routes at specific times during mornings and evenings Monday through Friday, and will transport children to and from home.

The 10,500-square-foot school will include a commercial kitchen with a staff that will prepare natural food daily, a large indoor playground and a small retail shop. Digital learning solutions will be offered through Smart Boards and interactive screen tables. The purpose of these tools is to help children learn how to contend with modern technology.
