Evolution MPC Travel Program Provides Training, Camaraderie

Top Evolution MPC producers will be traveling to explore the possibility of expanding the firm's market reach. Company Co-Directors discussed the benefits of these trips and of business travel in general.

“We plan several travel opportunities throughout the year for our team members because of how impactful trips can be on a person’s career,” shared Kate S., Co-Director of Evolution MPC. “Not only does travel itself help us become more resilient and confident, but our destinations tend to include learning events that introduce us to other leaders in our industry.”

Two trips have captured the attention of Team Evolution MPC this summer. The first is a cross-training opportunity with a high-performing office in Miami, Florida, where the firm’s ambassadors for good will learn the best practices that work in that market.

“The other trip is also a contest, and to make it even more fun we decided to go women vs. men,” said Evolution MPC Co-Director David K. “The women will be exploring the Reno, Nevada market while the guys will do some recon in Colorado. Whoever has the most success raising awareness for the nonprofits we represent wins. The great thing is that no matter the results, everyone will really be a winner because they had the chance to see a bit more of the world while having fun, sharpening skills, and building friendships with their colleagues.”

Why Evolution MPC Leaders Invest in Travel Events

Kate and David both agree that the Evolution MPC travel program has proven itself to be a worthwhile investment. Not only is it possible to measure the impact of trips on key factors like productivity and promotions, but the Co-Directors stated that less tangible qualities like collaboration and motivation were bolstered as well.

“When people travel together, they get the chance to know one another in a deeper way that our busy routines don’t always allow,” David explained. “We see sides of each other we don’t get to see in the office, and these insights often lead to long-lasting friendships. This alone is important, but the way these connections impact our office is incredible.”

“Teamwork becomes easy, something that people look forward to even, because of travel events,” Kate added. “Working with our friends increases motivation as well; it’s easier to get psyched up to come to work and put in 110 percent effort when we know we’re going to spend all day hanging out with our travel buddies. Another benefit is that recruiting top talent into an office environment like this is a breeze. Once candidates see how much we enjoy working together, they want in!”
