Best 7 Social Events for Holiday Season - Ranked by Dating App Weepo

The nightlife singles app, Weepo, has just released a list of the Top-7 Holiday Events New Yorkers must attend this December.

Weepo receives thousands of solicited and unsolicited event invites for its free mobile app, which allows singles to connect with each other in person at events they are attending.

Our users have been telling us they don't want to always go out on dates alone. This new feature allows singles to go on group dates together. This new list of the top 7 events of December 2016 will give New Yorkers suggestions on the best events of the month.

Weepo uses geo-positioning technology that enables singles to find events near them and message with other singles if they both connect on the app. It also launched a new service this month that allows singles to organize group dates with friends or with people they connect with on Weepo.

“Our users have been telling us they don’t want to always go out on dates alone. This new feature allows singles to go on group dates together,” said Roy Lugasi, founder of Weepo. “This new list of the top 7 events of December 2016 will give New Yorkers suggestions on the best events of the month.”

December is filled with holiday parties, making it challenging for consumers to decide where to go. With Weepo’s curated party list, New Yorkers will have a proven event destination with the most energy and best vibes.

The 2016 Best Holiday Events in New York

The Red Masquerade Ball – The Carnival of Venice was started in 1292 as an excuse for people of different social classes to mingle and indulge in behaviors that might be otherwise deemed questionable, if not downright salacious. The custom of wearing masks was developed to give the Carnival revelers anonymous freedom to indulge in their most intimate fantasies.

Weepo picks the Red Masquerade Ball as the top event of the holiday season. To ensure the ultimate experience, Weepo encourages party-goers to buy a unique mask that expresses their alter ego. Cocktail attire is required for this party, so put on the best dress or suit for this Venetian affair. It takes place at Stage 48. 10 Years Diynamic Tour – The 10 Years Diynamic Tour is coming across the Atlantic Ocean and is making only five stops in the US, Mexico and Canada. The event takes place at a top-secret location in Brooklyn on December 10th, making it Weepo’s top underground event this winter. Party-goers will find out the day before where the event is located, but it’s sure to be a hotspot for New Yorkers.

Headliners for the Diynamic label anniversary party include Solomun, Adriatique, Kollektiv Turmstrassem, Stimming, Karmon and Magdalena. Afrojack – The most challenging choices for New Yorkers during the holiday season is where they want to spend New Year’s Eve. This year, Weepo picked Afrojack at Marquee as the top event to end the holiday season. General admission includes hors d-oeuvres, a 4-hour premium open bar and a unique party to kickoff 2017.

The event is 21 years or older and festive attire is required. Click here to purchase tickets: http://marqueeny.com/event.cfm?id=177926&cart

Winter Dance Party – If you’re not a fan of the club atmosphere, Weepo has found the event for you. Located at the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place, partiers can experience a Quiet Clubbing Dance party where all partiers receive a pair of headphones and choose music from the DJs battling on stage.

Weepo chooses this free Winter Dance Party as one of the top events this holiday season. New Yorkers can sing, dance and listen to different DJs battle as they’re surrounded by palm trees and holiday lights. Tickets for the December 10th event are available here: http://quietevents.electrostub.com/NYCDailyevents

ZEDS DEAD – On December 17th, ZEDS DEAD is bringing their unique brand of dance-floor classics to Terminal 5 with special guests Tokimonsta, Hunter Siegel and Pusher. Known as a dominant force in EDM circles, Weepo says ZEDS DEAD is the concert you can’t miss this December for its high energy and incomparable sounds. Bon Iver with Polica – Bon Iver returns to NYC with Polica for five nights of entertainment at Pioneer Works in Brooklyn. This duo creates a unique party experience and is the best way to start the holiday season, according to Weepo. Tickets for the December 3rd-7th shows are now available: http://boniver.org/tour

The 2016 Official Anjunadeep Label Tour – London-based record label, Anjunadeep, is responsible for releasing some of the most timeless soulful and melodic electronic music in the past decade—and the last show of their North American tour is happening here in NYC. On December 10th at Flash Factory, artists such as Gab Rhome, Jody Wisternoff, Theo Kottis and YOTTO will end the tour in what is expected to be an unforgettable night of music, dancing and partying with friends. The event is 21 years or older. Click here for tickets: http://ticketf.ly/2d6Y0Xq
