With an endless hunger for entrepreneurial shows and fashion entertainment, the US market seems to be drawn to shows like Project Runway, Shark Tank and similar formatted shows. Lifetimes newest series 'Project Runway: Fashion Startup' has now emulsified this desire of viewers, bringing all these formats together in one show.

Releasing an 'official first look' into the show on Lifetimes official website, the new spinoff series of the hit show ‘Project Runway’ will premiere this Thursday October 20th at 10:30pm on Lifetime. Embracing viewer interests, the show follows fashion and beauty entrepreneurs as they pitch their company to a panel of investors; who could possibly help start, save or grow their business.

Pulling in industry seasoned veterans, the panel of investors includes; fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff; Katia Beauchamp, cofounder and CEO of beauty retailer Birchbox; Christine Hunsicker, tech marketplace maven and founder and ceo of plus-size clothing rental site Gwynnie Bee; and Gary Wassner, CEO of Hilldun Corp. and chairman of Interluxe Holdings LLC.

With the series premiere just days away, the Huffington Post just released its article titled, “Behind The Scenes of Lifetimes Newest Series, “Project Runway: Fashion Startup” which reveals an inside look into the series. As the 27-year-old entrepreneur and contestant Ryan Zamo states, “It's just like Shark Tank on ABC, what you don’t know is that you are in there for almost 2 hours talking and negotiating. The producers are just filming a real life investment meeting, which they cut down to make entertaining.

It’s no joke, you wouldn’t normally walk into an investment meeting without knowing your numbers or data, it’s the exact same thing, except you realize that there are hundreds of people off camera watching you and millions more at home. These investors are putting in their own actual hard earned dollars, and they want to make sure that it’s worth it, no matter who you are- nobody is going to give somebody money without knowing the facts first.”

The article also incorporates fun facts about both ‘Project Runway: Fashion Startup’ and ABC’s ‘Shark Tank’, with interesting stories on the filming process that Zamo says you would never expect. With the new series premiering this Thursday Oct 20th on Lifetime, the Huffington Post article also revealed that Zamo himself is scheduled to appear on the show Thursday, November 3rd as he pitches his organic skincare company ‘ZskinCosmetics.Com’.
