Metro Comedy Set to Launch 30 City Comedy Tour
Revolutionary Race Barrier Breaking Comedy Tour Launching in over 30 US Cities and Canada
New York, NY, May 14, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Metro Comedy Entertainment, a company founded in 2008 by comedian Ed Blaze, announced recently that they are launching a revolutionary comedy tour designed to break through race barriers. This tour will be visiting over 30 cities throughout North America in 2016.
Blaze recognized an issue inherent in comedy – white comedians have a largely white audience, while black comedians have a largely black audience. He stated, “Chris Rock has 90% black fans, and Louis CK has 90% White fans, but you put them both together in one show - you get a great mixed audience, and break the barriers of getting labeled as one race comedian.”
The new Metro Comedy tour has been designed to bring comedians and audiences of every color together for a night of universal laughter.
The company has launched a unique Kickstarter for their comedy tour that puts the audience in charge of bringing world-class comedians to their home town. Talent like Chris Rock, Louis C.K, Jerry Seinfeld, Steve Harvey, Ellen DeGeneres, Ron White, Dave Chappelle, Aziz Ansari, Daniel Tosh, Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer and Larry the Cable Guy will be available for these events.
The tour is set to launch in February of 2016 and dates will be announced as they become available.
