Dave Knutson is a leading authority in the field of forensics. Throughout his illustrious career he has advised clients and served as a forensics expert in some of the nation’s highest profile cases. Mr. Knutson will be based in the firm’s Chicago, IL and will oversee the company's forensics lab there. Mr. Knutson will also be leading assigned forensics projects across the country as well as internationally. With a career spanning over thirty-years in law enforcement, Mr. Knutson was head of the FBI's Chicago Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) as the FBI’s Deputy Lab Director. In 2006 after his career with the FBI, Mr. Knutson joined Grant Thornton LLP as the Manager of the Chicago Computer Forensics Consulting Group. In 2009, Mr. Knutson went on to Duff & Phelps as the leader of their Computer Forensics Lab in Chicago, IL where he was prior to joining the HAYSTACKID national forensics unit. As an expert in his field, Mr. Knutson has testified in state and federal court on a variety of matters as a fact witness, forensics expert and as an expert in various aspects of law enforcement.
