Utepils Brewing Rolls Out Silver Linings Series

New Fund Helps Support Employees in the Hospitality Industry Amid COVID-19

European-inspired brewery Utepils Brewing announced today its plan to roll out the "Silver Linings Series." The local brewery will release a series of beers where every dollar from each pint sold will go towards The Silver Linings Fund, a non-profit program developed to help support employees in the industry who are financially impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19).

“In the hospitality industry, we continue to have one another’s backs and here at Utepils Brewing, we always try to look for the 'Silver Lining' in every situation,” said Dan Justesen, founder of Utepils. “Right now, as we are all aware, this industry, both on a local and state level, is finding itself in uncharted waters. Thus, opening our eyes to a bigger picture and inspiring us to brew a beer that gives back to those impacted by a national crisis like COVID-19.”

Utepils is asking every brewery and patron who is willing and able to join this movement, in any form or fashion, to help support the community and individuals impacted within the industry.

The brewery also announced that it is putting together a board of directors to help assist in the planning, organizing, and executing of The Silver Linings Series’ upcoming beer launches and events.

Justesen continued, “Our hope is that with the help of local brewers and patrons, we can all support our industry’s family members in times of need. Too many in our industry have limited benefits and there are holes in our social safety net that we are trying to close. And we plan to accomplish this, even if it takes one beer at a time.”

Utepils plans to roll out its new series of beer styles in the coming weeks and schedule upcoming concert series that patrons will be able to live stream and enjoy at home with a can of Utepils beer. The brewery also plans to host an in-person launch party sometime in the foreseeable future when it becomes safe again for people to gather in larger group settings.

“We want to thank everyone for their continued support,” said Justesen. “And we want to remind our fellow patrons that we are here, we will continue to make beer, and we will continue to look out for one another.”
