The quarters, half dollar, and dime are struck in 90 percent silver, known among collectors as "coin silver." The American Eagle Silver Proof Coin with the "S" mint mark is a collector version and contains 1 ounce of 99.9 percent fine silver. The timeless Walking Liberty, designed by Adolph A. Weinman, features a full-length figure of Liberty, enveloped in folds of the flag, with her right hand extended and branches of laurel and oak in her left. Inscriptions: "LIBERTY," "IN GOD WE TRUST," and "2017."
Last year's 2016 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set was sold in the first few hours, the assumption at this time is even if the 2017 set has the higher mintage, it still will be sold out pretty fast.
