The Zebra Receives Patent for Groundbreaking Insurability Score™

First "Credit Score For Insurance" Educates, Informs Drivers, Helps Them Alleviate Rising Insurance Costs

Insurability Score from The Zebra

The Zebra, the nation’s leading insurance search engine, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued U.S. Patent 9,953,372 for The Zebra’s Insurability Score™, a free, first-of-its-kind score which decodes for consumers what is affecting their individual insurance risk, by how much, and what they can do about it.

The proprietary tool has served more than half a million of drivers since its launch in October 2017. With each score generated, a personalized Insurability Scorecard provides drivers with rationale for their rates, and offers actionable tips for helping improve their score, and therefore improve their insurability. Advice such as working to improve a credit score tier or maintaining continuous coverage can help drivers reach their financial and insurance goals.

There's nothing like this tool out there, and we're hoping that the more people get educated about what goes into their insurance, the greater their options and the better choices they'll make for their wallet and their peace of mind.
