The Austin Focus' Director of Operations highlighted the team's most recent giveback efforts. She also addressed the group approach toward goal setting and attainment for the remainder of the year.

“There are several guiding values to which we are committed at The Austin Focus,” said Kati, the firm’s Director of Operations. “Philanthropy is one of those core principles. It allows us to not only return the support our community has so generously offered us, but also to establish ourselves as leaders in our region.”

According to Kati, 21 associates from The Austin Focus recently volunteered their time by cleaning, organizing, and boxing food for families in need. They created a systematic assembly line to ensure total efficiency. As a result, they provided over a ton of food for disadvantaged individuals in Austin. That’s 2,400 meals in two hours!

Kati also added that just about any business leader can build philanthropic giving into his or her business model – even if the company isn’t hugely profitable. As long as it’s stable, a giveback strategy can be implemented. Team members should work together to decide which causes they’d like to support, and which forms of giving make the most sense. Then associates can delegate and assume responsibilities for carrying out their plans.
