Sheryl Reddell's New Book 'Poor Thing' Demonstrates the Charming Beauty of Friendship, Childhood, and Coming-of-Age

Recent release "Poor Thing" from Covenant Books author Sheryl Reddell is a heartwarming book that shares the friendship of best friends William and Dion as they live their young to adult lives supporting each other through the ups and downs and the successes and failures

Sheryl Reddell, an artist and writer from Arkansas who started painting in 2000 after a diagnosis of MS required retirement from nursing, has completed her new book, “Poor Thing”: a fascinating narrative that follows two young boys in their story of a wonderful friendship grounded by surpassing difficult situations that led them to grow up into men of purpose and meaning.

Reddell writes, “’Poor Thing’ tells the story of a little boy and another little boy that becomes his best friend. It shows how both overcome significant problems and drawbacks and the significance and help their friendship was to both boys.

“The artwork I have done for the story is incidental to the story, which is intended to make the reader ponder the relationships with peers and why these little boys ended up living meaningful and productive lives.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Sheryl Reddell’s new book is an inspiring reminder for the young readers to form beautiful bonds with people and sustain a wonderful friendship that will last throughout the years. Throughout our successes, the greatest smiles may not only come from what we have, but also from who we are with.

This book likewise contains drawings that will entertain the children as they come to realize the importance of people relationships and good friendships.

Readers can purchase “Poor Thing” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
