Randall Joel Etheridge, Attorney at Law, has joined Noticed©, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals. Etheridge has been chosen as a Distinguished Lawyer™ based on peer reviews and ratings, dozens of recognitions, and accomplishments achieved throughout his career.

Etheridge outshines others in his field due to his extensive educational background, numerous awards and recognitions, and career longevity. After graduating from the University of West Florida he obtained his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in 1985. In the years since, Etheridge has been named among the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys™' "10 Best in Client Satisfaction" and The National Trial Lawyers' "Top 25 Criminal Trial Lawyers", among other honors.

I think the most problematic trends is the erosion of our fourth amendment rights protecting us from unlawful searches and seizures. The overreaching of what the government can do now is astounding. One of the latest developments is what they can do with your cell phone. They are now tapping into data from cell towers which can tell them where you were at certain times. They're seizing phones and going through them to see if they can find evidence to use against you in criminal cases.

With more than 30 years dedicated to law, Etheridge brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and, in particular, to his area of specialization, criminal defense. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in law, Etheridge said:

"When I was an undergrad at the University of West Florida, I was selected as a juror in a death penalty case of first degree premeditated murder. I found the whole process to be incredibly interesting and that’s when I decided to pursue a career as a criminal trial lawyer."

As a thought-leader in his field, Etheridge is well positioned to stay ahead of prevailing trends in criminal law at both the state and federal law. Commenting on what he considers to be one of the most significant issues in the field right now, he said:

"I think the most problematic trends is the erosion of our fourth amendment rights protecting us from unlawful searches and seizures. The overreaching of what the government can do now is astounding. One of the latest developments is what they can do with your cell phone. They are now tapping into data from cell towers which can tell them where you were at certain times. They're seizing phones and going through them to see if they can find evidence to use against you in criminal cases."

Etheridge is an active member of numerous professional bar and other associations, including the American Bar Association, the Florida Academy of Criminal Trial Lawyers, and the National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys, among others.
