PopID Expands Face-Based Authentication Network to 12 Restaurant Concepts, 5 Additional College Campuses

Company to Showcase Products at NRA Conference

PopID announced today that its cloud-based identity verification platform is now being used by 12 different restaurant concepts – including national chains, Deli Time and Port of Subs – in their self-ordering kiosks. The company further announced that its network of participating merchants and active users now covers eight college campuses.

Deli Time is deploying full-service kiosks, which include PopID’s authentication platform and easy-to-use order management software, at 22 locations. With PopID, Deli Time’s customers tap a button at the kiosk to be recognized and logged into their Deli Time accounts. They then have access to past orders and stored payment methods to simplify and streamline their transactions. According to Deli Time’s President and CEO, Dave Deason, “With PopID, we can offer our customers faster, simpler and more personalized kiosk experiences.”  Matt Csoka, Senior Account and Financial Analyst at Deli Time, added, “PopID also makes it easier for our customers to use and refill our stored value gift cards, which cuts down on our payment processing fees.”

PopID also continues its strong growth on college campuses, with the company announcing that its network of participating merchants and active users now covers five additional colleges: Colgate, University of California at Santa Cruz, University of South Carolina, University of California at Santa Barbara and University of Colorado at Boulder.  These new acquisitions add to the thousands of students at the University of Washington, Stanford University, and University of Southern California, which have previously registered for PopID and are actively using the PopID gateway to authenticate their identities in food service establishments on campus.
