NVNA and Hospice Announces 12th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Online, April 28, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Norwell, Mass - April 28, 2010 - NVNA and Hospice is excited to announce its 12th annual Charity Golf Tournament scheduled for Monday, July 26, 2010. The event will be held in a new location this year, Indian Pond Country Club in Kingston, Mass. Golfers and patrons are invited to enjoy Indian Pond's championship course as well as a gala dinner and silent auction with all proceeds to support important community service and education programs for area patients and caregivers on Boston's South Shore.
In 2009, NVNA and Hospice gave nearly $1.4 million in free and underfunded care to the 25 communities it serves through community health screenings, educational forums and programs, local support groups, and patient care. NVNA and Hospice provides Medicare-certified home health care and hospice services and a myriad of community-based programs, funded in large part through fundraisers and charitable activities. The annual golf tournament is the agency's largest fundraising event thanks to generous supporters, many of whom line up year after year to show their continued support.
"Every year as we kick off the annual tournament, we're excited and humbled by the consistent support and participation we receive from our surrounding communities," said Meg Doherty, CEO and executive director, NVNA and Hospice. "We are thrilled to be at this exciting new venue and look forward to another terrific, fruitful tournament thanks to our loyal donors and participants who faithfully support the programs and high quality care NVNA and Hospice is known for."
The tournament committee, which includes many dedicated patrons who help with the tournament each year, is currently seeking major and corporate sponsors, with levels ranging from $15,000 as a Presenting Sponsor to $500 as a Tee Sponsor. Other sponsorship opportunities include program ads, which run $100-$500. Additionally, the committee is working to obtain items for its silent and live auction in addition to the ever-popular raffle items.
Opened in 2001, Indian Pond Country Club was designed by golf course architects Graves and Pascuzzo. Spread over 160 acres of meticulously manicured grounds, the course's rolling hills and tree-lined fairways offer a unique and memorable experience for even the most experienced golfer. Golfers' fees are $200, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, lunch, dinner, foursome photo and a generous gift package. The tournament will begin with registration and lunch from 11-12 and will tee-off at 12:30. Non-golfing guests may also attend the gala dinner and auction held in the Club's Grand Ballroom separately for $60.
