Nottingham CityCare Partnership Prescribed New ERP & Accounting Solution From Azzure IT
Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England, United Kingdom, October 30, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Community healthcare provider, Nottingham CityCare Partnership (CityCare) finance department has become fully independent, with the help of its new integrated ERP & Accounting solution from Azzure IT. The Microsoft Dynamics NAV system marks a significant break away from its roots in the NHS and is saving the enterprise significant time and money.
Previously part of an NHS organisation, CityCare was set up as a staff-led social enterprise in 2011 to provide better health and complete care to those in the community. As a social enterprise, surplus funds are ploughed back into services, patient care, staff training or community benefit projects, so it’s essential CityCare looks to drive costs down wherever possible, without comprising on quality. But while continuing to deliver NHS services, CityCare’s shared NHS system was not providing the flexibility it needed.
"It became clear we needed to move away from our shared system. Having our own comprehensive solution that would provide strong functionality for both accounting and budgeting, became a necessity and we were convinced the Microsoft solution from Azzure IT could provide us with that."
Trevor Nicholas, Director of Resources at Nottingham CityCare Partnership
“It became clear we needed to move away from our shared system. Having our own comprehensive solution that would provide strong functionality for both accounting and budgeting, became a necessity and we were convinced the Microsoft solution from Azzure IT could provide us with that,” says Trevor Nicholas, Director of Resources at Nottingham CityCare Partnership.
Azzure IT has been able to cater for the CityCare’s very specific requirements. In addition to the finance and purchasing features implemented as standard - from general ledgers, cost centre budgets, purchase orders, right through to management reporting and dimensions for detailed financial analysis - CityCare needed the system to allow remote access, and customisation to specify which staff were full-time and which were part-time.
“Whilst CityCare’s main accounting functions are carried out at our offices in Nottingham, most of our budget managers are based in the community and require access to the system too,” explains Nicholas. “Now it’s simple for them to do that through the Dynamics NAV Windows’ application and web browser. Plus, the system automatically specifies the working hours of each member of staff so they can be accounted for in the right budget.”
