Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. Donates Recycled Electronic Equipment
Electronics are to be Refurbished and Donated to Benefit Others
Online, March 13, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The New Haven Connecticut law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. held an electronics drive, gathering used computers, servers, monitors, printers, faxes and other miscellaneous equipment for distribution to schools, churches, and social service organizations. This is the second year that the firm has recycled used electronic equipment. Last year the equipment was donated to Concepts for Adaptive Learning, a New Haven CT-based non-profit organization founded to help improve the education of disadvantaged public school children in under-performing school districts. This year the donation was made to Computers for Kids of America. Computers for Kids notes that they are committed to "making yesterday's computer equipment work for us today and help us prepare for tomorrow."
Routine upgrading of office equipment results in superfluous though usable items. When refurbished and recycled they are given another life which is welcomed by individuals and organizations. Recycling used computer and electronic equipment is also a sound decision for a better environment. James Knowles, IT Administrator at Neubert, Pepe & Monteith coordinated the collection. He states, "I'm proud to be a part of this effort. I grew up in a low-income inner-city area and had to scour the neighborhood to find enough electronic components to satisfy a hobby. That hobby eventually led to my livelihood of working in IT. Programs such as these spark an early interest in electronics and help prepare youth for the future."
Neubert, Pepe & Monteith's employees are committed to community involvement and service. Support of recycling and donation efforts is part of the firm's continuing commitment to the welfare of the community in which they serve.
