The law firm of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. is pleased to welcome attorneys Christopher J. Picard, Principal and William C. Sherman, Counsel to the firm.

Christopher J. Picard's practice centers on handling creditor's rights issues and real estate litigation in state, federal and bankruptcy courts inclusive of handling appellate matters. He is expanding his practice to include commercial litigation. His clients have included national banks and servicers along with local lenders. Recently, Chris obtained two appellate decisions in favor of lenders; one involving the impact of divorce proceedings on a residential mortgage foreclosure and the other concerning to challenge the legal sufficiency of a special defense by way of summary judgment. Chris began practicing law in 2000 after serving in the United States Navy as a Diver from 1987 to 1993. After completion of his active duty, Chris attended Boston College where he earned his B.A. and served as President of the Boston College Men's Rugby Team. Chris received his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law.

William C. Sherman practices in the areas of estate planning, trust and estate administration, commercial finance and real estate law. In his estate planning practice, he represents a wide range of individuals and families in planning for the efficient transfer of assets. In estate and trust administration matters, Bill provides counsel to fiduciaries and beneficiaries that eases the probate process and minimizes disputes. Bill has experience with both taxable and non-taxable estates, and in contested probate matters. Bill also has broad experience with commercial and residential real estate transactions. He represents clients in their acquisition, ownership, development, financing and leasing of property. Bill graduated summa cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude with High Honors in History from Muhlenberg College, where he was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
