Marietta Hummons's New Book "An Expected End" is a Touching Tale About a Couple's Riveting Circumstances in Life.

Recent release "An Expected End" from Covenant Books author Marietta Hummons tackles significant issues of despair and triumph that come with planning for one's life and future.

Marietta Hummons is a retiree from a teaching career after thirty-five years and holds a master’s degree in education. She is married and is a mother of two. She has completed her new book, “An Expected End”: a heartwarming narrative about a couple’s struggles of building a family—a plan that constantly slips through their grasp, leaving one heartache after another.

Marietta shares the following from her book, “As she lay in the hospital room, Nia felt her dreams slipping away, feeling as though she would never be a mother. All hopes were now gone of ever seeing those dreams come true. ‘It will be okay,’ she kept hearing the voices say. However, deep in her heart, as she sobbed into the stiff white pillow on the hospital bed, she knew it would not be okay. Not only would it not be okay, now barren, it was no longer even within the realm of possibility.

The steamy wet tears ran down her face, saturating the pillow, the unattractive cotton hospital gown that she was wearing, and the bedsheets. As quickly as she wiped them off, they reappeared with even more emotion, more painful than the previous. She was heartbroken. The darkness in the room couldn’t even hide the hurt, the pain, and the brokenness that she felt in her heart could never be repaired.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Marietta Hummons’s new book is an empathic reflection to all couples struggling with desperation and depression with starting a family.

Grief, loss, despair—these are the emotions felt by couple Nia and Nelson Taylor after a halted effort to start a family despite their meticulous planning. When everything seemed too hopeless to bear, they are shown God’s divine plan for their lives, sending a message to readers everywhere that a steadfast faith in God can make wonders possible.

Readers can purchase “An Expected End” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
