Lynx Innovations Cites Career and Internship Opportunities

The director of operations at Lynx Innovations discussed the entry of college students and recent graduates into the professional world. He also offered tips on hiring top talent.

“As the fun of the summer comes to a close, college students and even recent graduates are refocusing,” said Grant, Lynx Innovations’ director of operations. “Some are seeking internships, while others are seeking entry-level jobs. My colleagues and I just happen to be looking for laser-focused individuals who are eager to keep learning and growing. This firm is the perfect place for such candidates to get to know corporate life in a healthy setting, and to start growing their networks as well as their résumés.”

Grant indicated that he and his fellow leaders at Lynx Innovation invest in their people just as much as they invest in their campaigns. “Our success is the direct outcome of a passionate, hard-working team,” he stated. “We do our best to hire selectively, train thoroughly, and engage fully.”

Director of Lynx Innovations Offers Insights on Finding and Hiring Top Achievers

As Grant noted, the path to an effective team and a successful business begins with recruiting and hiring. With that in mind, he shared some sage advice on onboarding the best performers. “Above all else, trust your instincts,” he said. “This may seem like a questionable suggestion, but I promise it’s an effective one. People refer to the stomach as the second brain for a reason, so always go with your gut.”

“For example, maybe you have a candidate who simply isn’t qualified to do the job at hand, but he or she has a personality that will easily fit with your company culture,” Grant continued. “Your instincts might tell you to go for it anyway. Conversely, perhaps an interviewee’s qualifications are highly impressive, but he or she has a pessimistic attitude. Your gut will tell you this person is probably not the best hiring choice.”

According to Grant, it’s also crucial to remember that the process isn’t complete once someone is hired. He recommends meeting with new team members on a regular basis for several months. The meetings should function as an avenue for both managers and associates to share feedback. It is also an ideal setting to set and evaluate goals. Doing so will ensure that workers are on track to succeed, and that they feel good about their contributions. “This is the approach I take here at Lynx Innovations,” he concluded. “It’s practically foolproof.”
