Local Dental Group Encouraged Acts of Kindness Over The Holidays

A local medical group takes the time to recognize middle schoolers for their kind acts amongst the community by awarding them with iPads.

Now more than ever it is of upmost importance to teach children the true meaning of the holidays. It can be easy for students to forget that this is a time to lend a helping hand to the needy rather than demand for gifts from guardians. Sure, this time of the year is about receiving, but giving can really make it that much more special. Boston Dental Group of Las Vegas made it their priority this year to teach a local middle school the true impact of random acts of kindness.

They named the friendly competition"The Acts of Kindness Project 2012". The goal of this contest was to make sure students were doing kind deeds amongst the community and being recognized for their efforts. It took place at the Fremont John C MS Middle School and was open to students in grades 6 through 8. Each child who submitted an entry was required to compose a story recapping their act of kindness, how it impacted others and how it changed their perspective. Students were allowed to submit more than one entry, but had to enter separate tales for each kindness act they committed.

In turn, Boston Dental Group awarded the students of Fremont John C MS Middle School of Las Vegas with 3 brand new iPad 4's. One iPad went to a student from each grade in the competition. Photos of the happy, glowing award recipients can be seen on Boston Dental Group's Facebook page.

This group of Las Vega dentists targeted a school with children in need in order to commit a random act of kindness themselves by improving a child's Christmas. Learn more about these dedicated Las Vegas dentists by visiting http://bostondentalgroup.com/ or calling (702) 388-8888.
