Kazan Networks Wins Best Of Show Award At Flash Memory Summit

Kazan Networks Corporation is pleased to share that it was selected for the Best of Show award for Most Innovative Flash Memory Technology at the Flash Memory Summit, being held this week.  Kazan Networks is showing the world’s first NVMf native SSD, which showcases Kazan’s leading-edge NVMe over Fabrics architecture.

“A growing number of IT customers are actively evaluating next generation flash storage solutions based on NVMe (Non-Volatile Memory Express) over Fabrics*, that can connect high performance storage to racks of servers in the datacenter,” said Jay Kramer, Chairman of the Awards Program and President of Network Storage Advisors Inc. “We are proud to select Kazan Networks Native NVMf SSD for the Best of Show Technology Innovation Award as a single SSD with specs at 600k IOPS that can scale to a 2U package with 24 of these SSD’s and potentially achieve over 10M IOPS..”

Kazan Networks has been shipping implementations of their architecture since March of this year, but today’s SSD prototype represents an even smaller form factor, fitting into a standard 2.5” drive package.

“I’m very proud to accept this award on behalf our small team of extremely dedicated engineers,” said Joe Steinmetz, CEO of Kazan Networks.  “What we’re demonstrating this week is one of the results of a lot of hard work over the past 20 months, and we could not have done this without each and every member of our team.”

Kazan Networks is currently sharing details of their implementation with select customers.  This innovative and fully functioning product is available to be viewed at Kazan Network’s booth # 902.
