The Expert Network celebrates its newest member, Jennifer Beeston
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., October 17, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Jennifer Beeston, Branch Manager and VP of Mortgage Lending, Guaranteed Rate®, has joined The Expert Network©, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals. Ms. Beeston has been chosen as a Distinguished Mortgage Professional™ based on peer reviews and ratings, dozens of recognitions, and accomplishments achieved throughout her career.
Ms. Beeston outshines others in her field due to her numerous awards and recognitions, outstanding customer service, and career longevity. Today, Ms. Beeston is rated in the top 1% of lenders nationwide and was recently featured on the cover of Featured Agent Magazine’s August 2017 issue. She also has a five-star rating on Zillow and is the #1 rated mortgage lender for Sonoma County.
With over 10 years of experience in mortgages, Ms. Beeston brings a wealth of knowledge to her industry and, in particular, to her areas of specialization, client education on the ins-and-outs of the mortgage lending process and essential financial literacy. When asked why she decided to pursue a career in mortgages, Ms. Beeston said:
I do a lot of consumer education—I'm known for that. I do everything either on social media or one-on-one. A lot of loan officers just offer clients a product with no explanation. I saw the level of care people were getting and there's no class in school that teaches you financial literacy, something that will affect you for the rest of your life. I started the channel so people would have the basics. So the question I asked was: 'How do you get into the consumer's hand the information they need?' Whether they work with me or with anyone else, I want them to be as informed as they can be.
"I went into the mortgage business because I had a really bad experience as a first-time homebuyer. We got a mortgage and we were asking our lender ‘What’s our payment going to be?’ and the guy wasn’t upfront with us—he just mentioned the principal and interest. I was 26 and we didn’t know any better. When the bill came we almost had a heart attack. We were on my husband’s salary because I had just had a baby, and with taxes and insurance the bill was $800 more per month than we thought it was going to be. So my thought was, there’s a better way to do this.”
As a thought-leader in her field, what sets Ms. Beeston apart from other lenders is her commitment to becoming her clients’ ‘lender for life.’ Sitting squarely at the forefront of technological advances, she also created a YouTube channel to make the mortgage process and basic finance transparent to everyone around the country. Commenting on her groundbreaking philosophy on mortgage education, Ms. Beeston said:
"I do a lot of consumer education—I’m known for that. I do everything either on social media or one-on-one. A lot of loan officers just offer clients a product with no explanation. We’re a lot more comprehensive than that. That’s why I started the YouTube channel. I saw the level of care people were getting and there’s no class in school that teaches you financial literacy, something that will affect you for the rest of your life. I started the channel so people would have the basics—What is mortgage insurance? How do I get my credit score up? Most of the information that’s out there currently is fine print, and it’s really hard for people to digest. So the question I asked was: 'How do you get into the consumer’s hand the information they need?' Whether they work with me or with anyone else, I want them to be as informed as they can be."
