Jaime Topham Has Been Recognized Among the Top in Her Industry by Noticed©

Noticed celebrates its newest member, Attorney Jaime Topham

Jaime Topham, Founder & Managing Attorney, Topham Family Law, PLLC, has joined Noticed©, an invitation-only service for distinguished professionals. Topham has been chosen as a Distinguished Lawyer™ based on peer reviews and ratings, dozens of recognitions, and accomplishments achieved throughout her career.

Topham outshines others in her field due to her extensive educational background, numerous awards and recognitions, and career longevity. Since earning her law degree from the University of Utah in 2007, she has established herself as a compassionate and effective representative for families in the Tooele and Salt Lake County areas in matters ranging from divorce and adoptions to custody and paternity cases. When asked why she decided to pursue a career in family law, Topham said:

It used to be that 90 percent of the time mom would be the first pick to take custody of the children, but that's changing in Utah. The courts recognize that both parents often have good resources to provide for the children and that it's important for both to be a part of their lives. That's why courts are trying to encourage parents to have mutual custody, and they're certainly trying to help people succeed in co-parenting.

Jaime Topham, Founder & Managing Attorney, Topham Family Law, PLLC

"My father was a family law attorney, and I wanted to go into law because of him. When I got out of school, however, I didn’t want to go into family law because I grew up in the middle of it. But as time passed, I recognized that there is a significant need out here where we live for a good family law attorney that cares about their clients, pays attention to their interests, and represents them to the best of their ability. I wanted to fill that need."

Motivated by her father’s example, Topham is an attorney who is passionate about helping parents reclaim their lives and reduce uncertainty for their children as they move through the divorce process and other challenging family law scenarios. It is particularly important to the firm that children be treated with respect and dignity as their parents work through the struggles of restructuring their lives.

As a thought leader in her field, Topham pays close attention to trends regarding how courts handle child custody. She notes:

"It used to be that 90 percent of the time mom would be the first pick to take custody of the children, but that’s changing in Utah. The courts recognize that both parents often have good resources to provide for the children and that it’s important for both to be a part of their lives. That’s why courts are trying to encourage parents to have mutual custody, and they’re certainly trying to help people succeed in co-parenting."

Topham was recently named among the Top 10 Under 40 Attorneys in the State of Utah by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys and as one of the 10 Best Attorneys in the State of Utah by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.
