The International Association of Women (IAW) recognizes the contributions of Jennifer Pendleton, MS, as Manchester, New Hampshire, Chapter President. She is acknowledged as a leader in this role. The International Association of Women (IAW) is a global in-person and online networking platform with more than 100 local chapters, international chapters in several cities in China and 1000+ in-person and virtual events.

“I’m pleased to acknowledge Jennifer’s outstanding leadership abilities,” said IPDN President and IAW Spokesperson Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience are valuable assets to her Chapter, its members and the local community.”

Jennifer Pendleton took on the role of IAW’s Manchester, New Hampshire, Chapter President because she was looking for a way to collaborate with more women and promote face-to-face communication and networking. “New Hampshire is the second oldest state, so we have a deficit of new talent entering our area,” she said. “I hope to promote a feeling of belonging and community within our area.”

Four years later, she has accomplished just that. Every month, Ms. Pendleton brings together women in the Manchester, New Hampshire area at networking meetings where they can build relationships and make connections.

“We have been lucky with our members being open to speak and present in their area of expertise during our monthly meetings,” Ms. Pendleton continued. “At each event, we have been able to create a group atmosphere of acceptance and transparent communication, while discussing hot-button topics such as work-life balance, women’s heart health, building strength and confidence, communication techniques and more.

On September 17, Ms. Pendleton will host the Chapter’s first-ever webinar. At the virtual networking event, members will have the opportunity to chat and network live via an interactive chat session and learn more about Ms. Pendleton’s upcoming plans for the Chapter.

For nearly 20 years, Ms. Pendleton has enjoyed a highly successful career in healthcare. She has been in her current position, Practice Administrator at Concord Hospital, for four years. “The sustainability of healthcare has always been attractive, as well as the wide range of options for career choices,” she said. “Strategic planning, coaching, development, financial management and project management are the key responsibilities of my position.”

Looking toward the future, Ms. Pendleton plans to continue to work to grow and strengthen the Manchester Chapter. She also looks forward to continued growth in the healthcare administration arena and “working together with teams and individuals who share the same mission of creating an exceptional patient journey.”
