International Association of Women Recognizes Sonya Songer as a 2020-2021 Influencer
Sonya Songer, Owner of Bossy HR, Joins Networking Organization
REDLANDS, Calif., August 18, 2020 (Newswire.com) - The International Association of Women (IAW) recognizes Sonya Songer as a 2020-2021 Influencer. She is acknowledged as a leader in Human Resources. Sonya Songer enjoyed a successful career working in long-term disability. Primarily responsible for interviewing employees who were on disability, what she learned inspired her to change the focus of her career. “Based on the responses I was receiving, I saw a huge disconnect between the company and its staff,” she said. “My curiosity about how such a communication schism could occur, prompted me to pursue Human Resources as a career.”
Two months ago, Songer founded Bossy HR. Using all the experience she has garnered in her previous career, she leads a team of professionals who offer Human Resources consulting, employee and management training, and policy/procedure customization. She considers her keen ability to assess a situation and come up with the best plan to tackle the issue, as it relates to her clients' success, to be her strongest skill.
“It can be challenging to discover the avoidable situations some of my clients find themselves in due to a lack of knowledge or not seeking assistance sooner,” Songer said. “However, it is that much more rewarding when I can alleviate the problem and educate them so they can avoid similar situations going forward.”
Songer’s future goals include having a stronger focus on education and training at Bossy HR, and to continue to grow her company.
