Professor Joy L. Maxwell, CEO, Joy Maxwell and Co., joins networking organization

The International Association of Women (IAW) recognizes Professor Joy L. Maxwell as a 2021-2022 Influencer. She is acknowledged as a leader in entrepreneurship. The International Association of Women (IAW) is a global in-person and online networking platform with more than 100 local chapters, International Chapters and 1,000+ in-person and virtual events.

After nearly 15 years of experience in business and a successful career in elementary education, Professor Joy Maxwell made the bold decision to follow a new path. "In 2014, I walked out of my classroom after listening to Les Brown every morning," she said. "I would put him on to help me get motivated. I found myself drowning in my own success; I was stuck in the classroom."

Today, Professor Maxwell is the CEO of Joy Maxwell and Co., where she teaches leadership. For the past seven years, she has been using the skills she has honed in speaking, coaching and advising to help clients develop quality teams and find success. She hosts both mastermind sessions and strategy calls to share her insight and guidance with new and existing clients. "I love the fact that I get to touch and positively impact the lives of so many people," Professor Maxwell said.

In addition to continuing to grow her business, Professor Maxwell has other future plans. "I hope to become a world-renowned author, writing on the topics of leadership and growth strategies," she said.
