I am a people person through and through. I'd say my social and emotional intelligence is high. I love to create win-win scenarios, thus successful negotiation on behalf of my clients is fun and rewarding.

Caterina Vaticano, CEO & President of Solare Event Management

For more than 25 years, Caterina Vaticano has been working as an event planner in some informal capacity, but it wasn’t until three years ago that she decided to make it official when she launched her company, Solare Event Management.

“I just sort of fell into this industry and decided I loved it as it allowed me to leverage my genius zone, collaborate with people and utilize all the skills I have been developing for years,” Ms. Vaticano said. “Essentially, I adore pulling people together, being of service, taking a vision and flawlessly executing. Ultimately, making people happy and helping them feel supported is what makes me tick. It’s as if my life has been a training ground to get to this point now, of owning and operating an event management company centered on helping people and companies SHINE!”

Using the skills she honed in business, leadership, and management while working as a Senior Project Manager and Technical Director in the corporate world and also building a successful family business with her husband for almost ten years, primed Ms. Vaticano for her current role. As CEO and President, she is responsible for the vision, strategy and business development at Solare Event Management.

“Probably, the single most important and rewarding thing I do is act as Chief Encouragement Officer, in both my personal and professional life,” Ms. Vaticano added. “I am a people person through and through. I’d say my social and emotional intelligence is high. I love to create win-win scenarios, thus successful negotiation on behalf of my clients is fun and rewarding. I strive to make it good for everybody. Ultimately, it puts a good vibe on everything we do.” Ms. Vaticano also considers her ability to stay calm under pressure to be an important asset of her personality, as well as her resourcefulness, team management, planning, and organizational skills.

Finding enough time in the day to pursue her many ideas and passion projects is always a challenge, said Ms. Vaticano, but her support system helps her deal with any obstacles that stand in the way of success. “The relationships I make and have made along the way is hands down the absolute most rewarding thing about my career,” she added. “I ultimately think that is what life is all about: working together for the common good and supporting one on another to shine.”

Ms. Vaticano’s future goals include creating a leadership academy for women. “It would be centered on empowering women to own their power and rise up, together and united,” she said. “Amazing how a common thread I’ve observed in women is fear of asking for what they want and need. I want to change that.” An equally important goal, she added, is simply to continue living passionately and sharing the journey with good people.
