Asli Aker, Founder of Niches Coaching & Consulting

Asli Aker has 25 years of experience as a global and organizational expert. She began her career in Istanbul where she worked for a holding group of companies. “The President of the company was a reputable and inspirational public figure who liked to challenge the status quo and find innovative ways of doing business,” Ms. Aker said. “One such project was the re-engineering of the holding group and all of its companies. I ended up working personally with him and represented the Group with the top consulting firm he hired.”

During her tenure, Ms. Aker honed her skills as she worked and interacted with executives. This helped her gain insight and develop design and leadership principles as well as the ability to influence and negotiate. “The experienced inspired me to help organizations and leaders excel at what they do and change the world for the better,” she said.

Five years ago, Ms. Aker, a Certified Professional Coach, made the decision to set out on her own and founded Niches Coaching & Consulting. Focusing on three key areas: coaching, consulting and facilitation, she offers clients leadership and empowerment coaching, team-building skills, leadership and organizational development, talent management, empowerment workshops for women and much more. Working in collaboration with Stanford University, Ms. Aker also offers the 21st Century Leadership: Awakening Humanity at Work program.

As she works with individuals and businesses, Ms. Aker uses her expertise when it comes to creating something from scratch and building custom solutions for people and companies. “I understand the uniqueness of the individual and work with it,” she added. “I excel at coaching, connecting the dots and holistic thinking, business and people acumen and helping others build the skills they need to succeed.”

Although she interacts daily with many wonderful people, Ms. Aker admits not being part of a high pace team can be isolating. And while fluctuation of her business pipeline and the constant need to network can also be challenging, the many rewards of owning her own business far outweigh the challenges. “It is so encouraging to see the transformation in people I coach, to be able to create and design solutions, to constantly learn and to build trusting partnerships with the very interesting people I meet,” Ms. Aker said. “Plus, I love the flexibility.”

As she looks to the future, Ms. Aker plans to increase her outreach and support and continue to help people authentically achieve their dreams.
