Sharron Glover, CEO/Owner of The Glover Group, LLC, is selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession

The International Association of Women (IAW) honors Sharron Glover as a 2018-2019 Influencer of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. The International Association of Women (IAW) is a global in-person and online networking platform with nearly one million members, 1000+ in person and virtual events, over 100 Local US-based Chapters and International Chapters in several cities in China.

“I’m pleased to welcome Sharron into this exceptional group of professional women,” said IPDN President and IAW Spokesperson Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”

After I had the opportunity to develop a succession plan for a utility company, which trained more than 300 employees and changed the culture of the organization, I knew I had the proof of what was needed.

Sharron Glover has years of experience working in private organizations and nonprofits where she enjoyed a highly successful career holding numerous leadership positions. During her tenure, though, she realized there was a gap in employee engagement, career development and coaching.

“After I had the opportunity to develop a succession plan for a utility company, which trained more than 300 employees and changed the culture of the organization, I knew I had the proof of what was needed,” Ms. Glover said. In 2014, she founded The Glover Group, LLC, a consulting business that provides assessment, development, implementation and facilitation of applied leadership programs.

“I created over 75 applied leadership courses that can be customized for each client based on their needs,” Ms. Glover said. “My responsibilities include managing the day-to-day operations, including marketing, branding and training. I also work with a number of woman-owned small businesses. I coach the owners, helping them to run and grow their business.”

Ms. Glover admits it can be challenging to convince other women about the benefits of hiring a business coach but she is rewarded often when business owners she has coached reach a goal or develop a plan to help them reach their goals.

Previously, Ms. Glover was the owner of Complete Business Solutions, LLC, which was named Minority New Business of the Year during Minority Enterprise Development Week (MED Week) by the Oklahoma Minority Supplier Development Council. She has served as President and Board Chair of the Black Chamber of Commerce of Metro OKC and is the recipient of numerous industry awards.

“My own future goals include growing my business so I can continue to provide people with a great place to work, and help their families and communities,” she added.
