International Association of Women Honors Laurie L. Dove as a 2018-2019 Influencer of the Year

Laurie L. Dove, President of Dove Media Group, is selected for her outstanding leadership and commitment within her profession.

The International Association of Women (IAW) honors Laurie L. Dove as a 2018-2019 Influencer of the Year. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in entrepreneurship. The International Association of Women (IAW) is a global in-person and online networking platform with nearly one million members, 1000+ in person and virtual events, over 100 Local US-based Chapters and International Chapters in several cities in China.

Laurie L. Dove started her career in journalism as a reporter for print, television, and radio. Her exceptional skills soon led her to take on jobs in related creative fields where she provided content marketing, design and public relations services. In 1999, Ms. Dove’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to launch Dove Media Group Inc.

As President of this multi-national marketing firm, Ms. Dove leads a team of talented professionals as they provide clients with creative and strategic services that include website design, brand development, social media management and custom content for magazines, newsletters, websites and more. In addition, Dove Media Group Inc. provides photography, video production, and strategic public relations. The firm’s list of clients is impressive and includes such nationally recognized companies as Delta Airlines, HLN, Animal Planet, CNN, HowStuffWorks, and others.

In addition to her work with Dove Media Group, since 2015, Ms. Dove has tirelessly served her community as Mayor of Valley Center. During her tenure, the city built a $2.5 million library and community center, completed a $6.1 million infrastructure project that was the largest in the city’s history and enacted a strategic plan based on widespread community engagement. From 2013 to 2015, Ms. Dove served as a city council member and continues to serve on several boards for civic associations. Currently, she is a degree candidate at Harvard University and is earning a certification in leadership teaching and development from the Kansas Leadership Center.
