Sports Inc. 2000 Enhances Volunteer Efforts During the Holidays

Sports Inc. 2000's president describes the role of charitable giving in the company's overall operations. He also cited several positive outcomes of volunteer work, particularly during the holiday season.

“Philanthropy has always been tightly woven into the Sports Inc. 2000 company culture,” said Paul M., the firm’s president. “We regularly get together to discuss fundraising and volunteer plans. Sometimes we participate in charity walks, attend benefits and galas, or organize food, clothing, and toy drives. There’s really no limit to the ways we help.”

Paul pointed out that the holiday season gives the Sports Inc. 2000 team extra opportunity to give back. There is always additional need in the community during the last few months of the year, so they enhance their efforts accordingly. “This community has done a lot to help our firm succeed,” he stated. “The least we can do is express our gratitude by supporting the New Jersey area.”

"I also think it's worth noting that we meet plenty of great people every time we do a giveback project,"

Sports Inc. 2000 President Highlights Reasons to Engage in Philanthropic Giving

“Although the most important aspect of volunteering is that the people who are disadvantaged get what they need, it’s nice that those who give benefit as well,” Paul continued. “For example, community giveback makes us at Sports Inc. 2000 better as individuals and as a team. It humbles us, giving us fresh perspectives on all we have to be grateful for in life. The shared experience also strengthens our relationships, which means we work more cohesively as a group.”

According to Paul, the staff at nonprofit agencies are always highly appreciative of the support. These organizations already operate on limited funding, which means they are stretched thin in terms of manpower and resources. When volunteers help with various odds and ends, these workers are better able to focus on their year-end reporting and other priorities.

“I also think it’s worth noting that we meet plenty of great people every time we do a giveback project,” Paul indicated. “The team members at the agencies we help are great network contacts. The other volunteers are as well – and believe me, you never know who you might meet during a holiday fundraiser or toy drive. Of course, the service recipients are also amazing people. We learn so much from them about the power of perseverance.”

“When it comes to giving back to the community – especially during the holiday season – everyone wins,” Paul concluded. “The opportunities for doing so are endless, and I highly recommend that all professional teams commit to charitable giving. We’re already planning our next effort!”
