Being able to sing any song is one of the goals of any singer and vocalist that distinguishes a professional singer from an amateur. A professional singer is someone who is able to give a consistently strong performance, day after day, night after night—and to sound good while handling a wide range of material. Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy, which turns amateur singers into pros, has released a video tutorial that shows how even an inexperienced singer can come closer to achieving this level of versatility.

“To become a great singer, it’s important to deconstruct them, analyze them, apply techniques, and then piece them back together,” comments Tamplin, in an accompanying press statement. “One thing I tell singers to do is to pick any song that they like and to try singing it—but to remove all the consonants as they do so, only singing the vowel sounds.”

This, according to the founder of Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy, is how amateur singers master vowel transitions, which are key to reaching professional-grade talent as a singer. Ken Tamplin goes into this idea in great depth in the video How To Sing Any Song - Voice Lessons  on YouTube. More vocal training videos available on Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy Youtube.

“I encourage singers to pick some songs and then explore them on the level of pure vowel sounds, a great exercise that can give you the ability to sing any song you like,” Ken Tamplin concludes.
