Grace Bridges' New Book 'The Price of Protection' is a Heartrending Novel That Shares a Child's Life of Toil and Triumph Against Depravity

Recent release 'The Price of Protection' from Covenant Books author Grace Bridges is an emotionally resounding read about a child's journey through the pains of wrongful parental guidance, legal conundrums and belongingness.

Grace Bridges, a devoted Christian who is active in missionary work, has completed her new book, “The Price of Protection,” a poignant opus that shares a life of overwhelming troubles and a resolve to overcome them, all told through the eyes of a child.

Grace writes, “Noodle shares her and her sibling’s life on a farm with their Momma and Daddy. Momma was raised in an orphanage during the great depression. Daddy was a pilot in the army during WWII. Daddy made up his own religion, which included using no medication, no birth control and no grace. Women and girls must wear dresses, and men are superior to women and children, and many other rules and regulations. It was a life of hard work and strict discipline. Then, the school board, the courts, the child welfare department and the police got involved. Noodle, just seven years old, takes us through the personal terror that she and her two other unvaccinated siblings experienced for three years while the courts and Daddy tried to prove to each other who was the boss. From the farm to the Governor’s mansion, these children’s story needs to be told. And after 55 years, here it is -- the truth from the perspective of the child who overcame it.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Grace Bridges’ new book conveys to readers virtues of love and acceptance for children caught in a serious predicament of homelessness and identity crisis.

This book is truly an evoking testament of a child’s noteworthy grace and resilience during life’s crippling moments.

Readers can purchase “The Price of Protection” at bookstores everywhere or online on the Apple iTunes Store, Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
