Walnut Creek, CA, June 30, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Contractors from seven regions nationwide vie for the awards on an annual basis. An impartial panel of judges, who are experts within the industry and associated fields, selected winners based on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.
Earlier this year, NARI named 158 Regional CotY TM winners with 22 team members who advanced as finalists to the national level. NARI announced a National winner in each of the 36 categories at its Evening of Excellence SM reception, held in Austin, TX.
"With an end goal in mind of creating a comfortable and accessible home for our suddenly ill client and her family, we worked hard to bring the latest Universal Design elements to their space. Our clients' gratefulness was reward enough; so we are excited that our efforts have resulted in a National Award - the prestigious CotY TM!"
Gordon Reese, President & Founder
“We received a call from clients needing a home modification due to a sudden, significant illness that limited mobility,” says CEO and founder Gordon Reese. “With one homeowner now in a wheelchair, the homeowners decided to convert the lower level of their tri-level home to an elegant and functional Master Suite. The team set to work, designing a new environment that would be easy to use by all household members, and one that applied Universal Design principles. We wanted the space to be simple and intuitive, as well as elegant and stylish.”
