Gestational Surrogate to Speak About Personal Surrogacy Story
Chevy Chase, MD, November 7, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Creative Family Connections, a full-service law firm and surrogacy agency, announced today that former gestational surrogate, Chelsea Hawk, will participate as panelist at the 13th Annual East Coast Men Having Babies Conference in New York city this weekend.
Hawk's panel, "Personal Stories", will feature a diverse panel of gay surrogacy dads along side the gestational surrogates who helped them and an egg donor.
Hawk, a preschool teacher from Maryland, acted as a gestational surrogate twice for a same-sex couple in New York. She feels that this not only reaffirmed her own beliefs about parenthood, but also helped shape her children’s understanding of love, support, and what it means to be a family. In 2016, Hawk and the couple she carried for were featured on CNN with Lisa Ling in her feature “This Is Birth”.
Creative Family Connections (CFC) is a proud partner with Men Having Babies (MHB) on its initiative, the Gay Parenting Assistance Program (GPAP). The first of its kind, GPAP provides eligible prospective gay parents with grants and access to discounts and free services through its select partnerships.
Representatives from CFC, will offer free consultations at the conference, where intended parents can learn more about the agency’s services. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear owner and founder of CFC, Diane Hinson, speak on an expert panel, and attend a breakout session with Hinson and CFC representatives.
