Gene Balliett's New Book, "Disaster Beckons" is a Gripping Tale About Setting Aside Differences to Save Lives and Prevent a Catastrophe From Happening.

Recent release "Disaster Beckons" from Covenant Books author Gene Balliett is an engrossing narrative that delves into compassion and unity despite religious diversity and stigma.

Gene Balliett, a retired editor for daily newspapers Cincinnati Enquirer and New York Newsday, and for national magazines Medical Economics and Physician’s Management, has completed his new book, “Disaster Beckons”: a riveting book about the thwarting of an attempted mosque bombing instigated by terrorists.

Gene shares, “With help from Homeland Security, Haris discovered a four-man bomb team planned to gather two nights later in a big motel at the southern edge of Miami. Adam, Artie, Sonny, Neil, Ted, Tommy, and the FBI agent, Haris, drove to the motel. The FBI had rented a suite for Haris, Adam, and friends. It was at the edge of an enlarged section of the motel corridor, directly across from a matching suite occupied by the Shi’a bombers. They were apparently there to make final plans for the bombing of the mosque.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Gene Balliett’s new book is a spine-chilling tale that leaves readers enthralled by the unfolding of events that lead to a heroic climax.

This account speaks of bravery, courage, and love for all brethren, no matter what religious views he or she may be affiliated with. Witness the events of determination and camaraderie as Muslims and Christians unite to stop a bomb threat from avenging and moving a 1,400-year war to North America.

Readers can purchase “Disaster Beckons” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
