Ford will double the number of vehicles it manufacturers that return at least 40 mpg by year end. The eight-vehicle mark is more than any other full-line automaker in the world, and is even more than the number offered by Toyota and General Motors combined.
A new name to Ford's line-up of incredibly fuel-efficient vehicles is the C-MAX Hybrid. The C-MAX Hybrid is Ford's first entry into the largest class of hybrid vehicles, and is expected to take the segment by storm by offering superior fuel efficiency, power and a lower asking price. The C-MAX Hybrid is able couple best-in-segment fuel efficiency of 47 mpg city with best-in-segment performance of 188 horsepower, 50 horsepower greater than its top competitor.
