FloQast Named a 'Best Place to Work' by the Los Angeles Business Journal for the Sixth Straight Year

FloQast ranked second in the large-sized company category just months after passing the 500-employee mark

FloQast, a provider of accounting workflow automation software created by accountants for accountants, was named today one of the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal for the sixth consecutive year. This year, FloQast ranked second in the large-sized company category, also marking FloQast's first-ever Best Place to Work award as a global company with more than 500 employees.

2022 is the third-straight year FloQast has finished in the top-three — first as a medium-sized organization in 2020 and again as a large-sized company the last two years. Since last year's inclusion, the company has doubled its headcount in the U.S. and EMEA.

"Being named a Best Place to Work by the Los Angeles Business Journal for the sixth year in a row is such an accomplishment and we couldn't be prouder, especially considering the tremendous growth the company has experienced in the last year," said Adey Tadesse-Heath, Senior Director of Human Resources at FloQast. "Company culture will always be top of mind and for the company to maintain such a strong work environment — from startup to large business — is validation that this mentality works."

Today's news is the latest in what has proven to be a busy summer for the FloQast. Recently, FloQast announced:

FloQast has now made the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles list as an early-stage startup, a scaling business, and now a unicorn. The company previously finished among the top three in the medium businesses category (50-249 employees), before graduating to the large business category (250-plus employees) last year.

"To be named a Best Place to Work in Los Angeles at every juncture of the company's growth is extremely gratifying, especially given all the work our human resources team has done to maintain a strong company culture through our growth over the last two years," said Mike Whitmire, co-founder and CEO of FloQast, inactive CPA.

The Los Angeles Business Journal and Workforce Research Group created this sixteenth annual program and survey to identify, recognize and honor the best employers in Los Angeles, benefiting the county's economy, workforce and businesses. The list is made up of 100 companies.

To be considered for participation, companies had to fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

  • Be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity
  • Be a publicly or privately held business
  • Have a facility in Los Angeles
  • Have at least 15 employees in Los Angeles
  • Be in business for a minimum of one year

Companies from across Los Angeles County entered the employer assessment process to determine the Best Places to Work in Los Angeles. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's benefits, policies, practices, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 20% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 80% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final rankings. Workforce Research Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Los Angeles, analyzed the data and determined the final rankings.

The actual rankings were revealed at a special event on August 11, 2022, and were published in the August 15, 2022, issue of the Los Angeles Business Journal
