With nearly 30 years dedicated to law, Mr. Kilgore brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and in particular to his area of specialization, aviation litigation. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in law, Mr. Kilgore said:
"I was a professional pilot for fifteen years before I went to law school so my career in law is a natural extension of my previous career."
Mr. Kilgore’s eclectic background – which includes experience as a military officer, professional pilot, construction project manager, draftsman, safety professional, and educator – has allowed him to litigate matters spanning a wide range of issues, including those involving metallurgy, mechanics, electronics, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, design, and pharmacology. He has published several cases in influential law journals and is the author of the 1999 Aviation Law Supplement to Texas Torts. Mr. Kilgore also lectures widely on a range of topics in the industry, and serves as an adjunct faculty member at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Fort Worth campus, where he has taught aviation law and insurance courses since 1997.
