ChaCho is dressed in his Dragon Apron, ready for action on Feb. 9, 2019

On Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) the Annual Alhambra Lunar New Year Street Fair Festival celebrates the Chinese New Year for its 28th year. Over 250 booths will offer Asian culture activities including workshops for kids, martial arts demonstrations, colorful Asian dances, fun games and giveaways, gobs of ethnic foods, even a health fair. Best of all, giant, awesome dragons will perform the Dragon Dance and Lions will dance to traditional Kungfu drums and cymbals as many types of Asian entertainment will continue throughout the day.

Chico McRooster is honored to be a part of these festivities, and celebrate the Year of the Pig. ChaCho McRooster will represent Chico McRooster as Chief Marketing Strategist. ChaCho is an 18-month old endangered species Spanish Mediterranean Rooster, who is very friendly, loves to be petted, connects with many visitors and above all loves to pose for pictures.

So come on down, enjoy the fun and get a family photo with ChaCho or a selfie. Check out our Facebook page to see others who have connected with this truly gentleman rooster. ChaCho will be riding in his specially decorated canopy topped cart and will arrive at the Street Fair around 3 p.m. after participating in the Golden Dragon Parade in Chinatown, Los Angeles earlier in the day.

How to get to there: Valley Blvd can be reached from the 10 Freeway by driving North on Garfield Ave or New Ave. This great event takes place between these two major streets & more specifically between Vegas & Amargansat, in front of “The Marketplace Shopping Center.”
