Carver Hound's New Book 'A Carboniferous Morning' Shares a Wonderful Introduction of Special Creatures From Millions of Years Ago

Recent release "A Carboniferous Morning" from Covenant Books author Carver Hound is an entertaining tale that follows Meg the Meganeura and other unfamiliar creatures in the grasses and waters of North America who have lived over three hundred million years ago.

Carver Hound is a singer in the Presbyterian church choirs, the Gary Lions Club president and Lions District 29—C district governor, and a soapstone sculptor. He has completed his new book, “A Carboniferous Morning”: an engaging illustration that brings to life six long-forgotten creatures in a narrative that tells a day in the life of these wondrous beings.

Carver writes, “A Carboniferous Morning may be considered my introduction to the creatures of the Carboniferous time period. The book takes you through an introduction of six creatures that lived in North America some 350 million years ago. We know this from the fossil remains left behind in the rock and coal layers. There have been many movies and books about the standard dinosaurs, but you rarely hear about this particular group. Being from an area of the country that for years has been devoted to coal, I thought it was necessary to spread the knowledge of these creatures to the public and especially the next generation. With the changes of using other sources of energy it is all the more important that we remember what got us this far.”

Published by Covenant Books of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, Carver Hound’s new book is a delightful creation that brings not only stories and wonder, but also lessons that will brighten the hearts and minds of young readers.

Readers can purchase “A Carboniferous Morning” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble.
