'Amaris, the Moon Child' is Book Two of the 'Happenstance' Series. Through a Series of Trials, Amaris, Aka Birdman, Finds His Way Back Home and Reunites With His Long Lost Brother, St. Nick

Recent release 'Amaris, The Moon Child' from Covenant Books author Arlene Belmont is a fantasy fairytale about Amaris's journey home. Using magical powers Amaris solves the mystery of his twin's whereabouts and ventures on the long journey back home and eventually reunites with his kin to claim his rightful birthright.

Arlene Belmont, founder of her own insurance agency and former employee of a Fortune 500 Insurance Company is a loving grandmother and mother of four adult children. She wrote this sequel in response to her grandchildren’s desire to continue the story and allow the twins to meet. “Amaris The Moon Child” fits the bill by carrying on the story of Birdman’s journey back home.

Arlene writes, “Amaris, The Moon Child” with a childlike mind and introduces the reader to some clever new characters including a badger, five-fingered owls and a little girl that breaks down Amaris’s natural fear of humans and provides him clues to find his sibling.

When Amaris turned twelve, he grew feathers. This rather odd condition allows him to fly! But it also requires him to live in a very cold climate in order to molt. Amaris finds refuge in the chilly mountain air of Mount Herman by the sea of Galilee. Yet, the journey home will take more than feathers and he turn to using mystical potions from spell books left by a deceased step- mother, the witch to complete his journey.

The story is about redemption and the power of good and evil. The reader will learn through Amaris’s trials that although our past does affect us, it does not have to define us. We can rise above our current circumstances and find fulfillment and a place of belonging. We can always go back home no matter how far we have drifted
