With over 30 years dedicated to wealth management, Mr. Temkin brings a wealth of knowledge to his industry, and in particular to his many areas of expertise, including retiremtn, investments, and estate planning. When asked why he decided to pursue a career in wealth management, Mr. Temkin said:
"I had taken an aptitude test when I was an undergraduate and it showed that I should be in sales. So I was introduced to the manager of a Radio Shack, but to make a long story short, I don’t know a AAA battery from a nuclear bomb! So I ended up meeting with the district manager for the local branch of MetLife and was accepted to an internship program in 1977. I fell in love with the business immediately and have stuck with it ever since."
As a thought-leader in his industry, Mr. Temkin is passionate about spreading his knowledge of sound wealth management principles. Companies all over his region invite him to give talks on a variety of financial topics, especially retirement. He noted:

He is a past President of the Boston Life Underwriters Association, the Boston Life Underwriters Foundation, North Shore Life Underwriters, Boston General Agents and Managers Association, and the Massachusetts Life Underwriters Association, and a past Regional Vice President of the General Agents and Managers Association, where he also served on the Board of Directors. He qualified as a Five Star Wealth Manager* in 2012 and 2015, and was the recipient of the 2014 NAIFA Albert E. Richardson Award.
Mr. Temkin is also an active member with many community groups, including Beverly Main Streets, Beverly Rotary Club, Liberty Lodge Mason, and the Beverly Chamber of Commerce, and has served on the Board of Directors for the North Shore Chamber of Commerce and the Beverly YMCA.
