8Elements Marketing Celebrates Teamwork and Leadership
Houston, TX, July 31, 2015 (Newswire.com) - “I firmly believe in the power of teamwork,” said Carrie, 8Elements Marketing’s director of operations. “More importantly, I believe in cultivating a company culture based on mutual respect, positivity, and collaboration. Great associate morale is the key to our success.”
Carrie cited that at 8Elements Marketing, managers have an open-door policy. They eagerly provide and receive feedback from team members. “You must be willing to listen to what your associates have to offer. They have great visions of how to streamline processes and improve customer relations,” she said. “Companies that have top-down management styles, in which the only ideas are those that come from managers, risk missing out on valuable feedback that could help their businesses prosper.”
"We clearly define our vision and mission so team members understand their individual and shared goals,"

According to Carrie, strong communication is a must for creating a supportive office environment. “We clearly define our vision and mission so team members understand their individual and shared goals,” she said. “As managers, we also frequently recognize our associates’ efforts. We’re always asking them what we can do to help them perform their jobs to the best of their abilities. We believe in equipping our team for success. Our training program is a testament to our commitment and helps our associates learn and grow as leaders within the company.”
Recently, Carrie sent two of 8Elements Marketing’s top performers to Phoenix for a cross-training session. “Not only was this a great experience for them to learn more about leadership, but it also helped increase overall productivity and encouraged internal coaching,” she added.
8Elements Marketing Managers Discuss Strengthening Team Bonds
Training is only one of the ways in which the 8Elements Marketing leadership promotes stronger team bonds. “We’re a team that works hard and plays hard,” said Carrie. “It’s equally important for associates to spend some downtime together and form relationships with each other.”
Carrie shared that the team has recently engaged in some exhilarating recreational activities like dodgeball and laser tag. “It’s hard not to build work friendships when you’re laughing and having fun together,” she said. “We also had a company potluck. There’s something warm and family-like about bringing a dish to pass.”
Perhaps among the most influential team-building exercises has been the group’s efforts to give back to their community. “So far this year, we’ve helped with the Houston Food Bank Food Drive and the Nam Treasures Giveback Event,” Carrie noted. “The ability to support these two wonderful organizations was truly inspiring for all of us.”
“We place a lot of emphasis on working together,” Carrie said. “The positive energy I feel every time our team is together is proof positive that our efforts are worthwhile.”
