8Elements Marketing Gives Back to the Community

Philanthropy is a core component of 8Elements Marketing's culture. The company's director of operations discussed the team's most recent giveback efforts, as well as the value of volunteering.

“In addition to all the good it does for those in need, giving back to the community really brings all of us at 8Elements Marketing closer together,” said Carrie, the firm’s director of operations. “We also learn new things and meet amazing people every time.”

Carrie explained that she and her colleagues most recently offered their support at the BARC animal adoption and shelter. They donated funds to the organization as their October volunteer effort. “BARC consistently runs at maximum capacity, sometimes bringing in more than 150 animals per day,” she stated. “In addition to donations, the agency relies on volunteers who generously donate their time and fosters who open their homes to help animals.”

"Things are incredibly money-driven these days, so it's truly refreshing to invest our resources into something different,"

In addition to these efforts, the team at 8Elements Marketing is proud to partner with Castleton University for the Upward Bound TRIO program. It provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their pre-college performances and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. The program serves high school students from low-income families, as well as those from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree. “We value our contribution to this organization because we believe in helping students shape their futures for positive change and success in the world,” Carrie added.

8Elements Marketing’s Director Explores the Value of Philanthropy

“Things are incredibly money-driven these days, so it’s truly refreshing to invest our resources into something different,” Carrie concluded. “Philanthropy is about contributing, giving, and helping. It’s about making the world a better place. You can’t put a dollar value on that.”

As Carrie mentioned, everyone benefits from giveback – not just the recipients of the efforts. Volunteers, for instance, want to raise awareness about worthwhile causes, grow their networks, expand their skills, and gain experience. As such, it’s not about free labor and it should never be measured that way.

“At 8Elements Marketing, we know that charitable giving enriches communities,” Carrie concluded. “It’s parents who help organize minor leagues sports, people who open homeless shelters, individuals who spend time with the elderly, teams cleaning local parks, and so much more. I’m honored to be part of these efforts, which bind people together. In fact, I’m already looking forward to such work in the upcoming months. The holiday season provides plenty of opportunities to brighten the lives of others. I’m sure it will be a memorable one!”
