Phillips Charitable Organizations Awards Grant to Family in Honor of Father and Son's Military Service
Online, October 30, 2012 (Newswire.com) - The Phillips Charitable Organizations has awarded a grant to the Hardin Family in honor of Charles and Kevin, father and son, who both served in the military. Phillips Charitable Organizations is a charity founded by Infor CEO, Charles Phillips, and is dedicated to helping US veterans in a time of need.
Charles Hardin is a US veteran who is currently suffering from stage 4 colon cancer and is residing in a hospice. His wife, Terry, in addition to suffering the emotional effects of a sick spouse, was also mourning the loss of her son, Kevin Hardin, who was killed in Iraq. Amongst the emotional pain Terry was experiencing, she was also dealing with many financial issues that included unpaid medical bills and the threat of eviction.
After reaching out to Phillips Charitable Organizations, the Hardin family was awarded a grant in honor of Charles and Kevin Hardin's service to our country. With this grant, Mrs. Hardin is able to avoid eviction and pay medical bills. Because of Phillips Charitable Organizations, Terry Hardin is now able to focus her time on being by her husband's side and keeping the memory of her son alive.
Phillips Charitable Organizations is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit foundation providing financial help for single parents, students interested in engineering, and wounded veterans. 100% of the foundation's assets are disbursed directly to grantees.
