One of the biggest exhibitions of the equipment manufacturing industry in the whole of China, the China International Industry Fair is a major annual event and the 2010 show is expected to be no different in this regard

The 2010 exhibition, which will take place between the 9th and the 13th of November at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) is set to focus on the issue of developing new national science and technology products, the Expo as a whole operating under the overall theme title of "Scientific Innovation and Equipment Manufacturing Revitalization". Areas such as communications and information technology, industrial automation, new sources of energy, electrical power and environmental technology will all fall under this theme, as do many others.

Usually, around 30% of those exhibiting their wares at the China International Industry Fair are from overseas, a total of around 494 international companies from about 18 different countries from all around the globe. The exhibition regularly attracts over 118,000 visitors across the four-day event, over 98,000 of which are industry professionals. The event commenced operation on an annual basis 11 years ago in 1999 and has become a major national and international success story.

Anyone staying in a hotel in Shanghai is encouraged to come along and take part, though obviously, those actually hosting booths at the event should have booked well in advance. "It's a fascinating experience for all," says DirectRooms Head of Marketing, Lek Boonlert.
