Behind The Scenes Of SOFA's New Commercial
Online, September 25, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Twenty year old financial literacy organization, SOFA, The Society for Financial Awareness released a commercial detailing the benefits of what the organization can provide for every single American.
After years of service, SOFA caught up with 3 individuals who represent what SOFA is all about: the SOFA Member, the HR, and the SOFA Workshop Attendee. Each piece of the puzzle, allows SOFA to get its mission of providing financial literacy across America one community at a time!
First, Julie Armstrong, an HR Professional and Board Members for SHRM, Society for Human Resource Management in Arizona gave her perspective on the program. After working with SOFA for some time, Julie discussed the benefits of SOFA workshops from the viewpoint of the HR professional. Having worked closely with members in the Phoenix area, Julie displayed the lasting impact SOFA workshops have had on companies around the nation. She knows, as many of us do, that the key to success in the workplace is benefit communication, high employee morale, and a healthy & safe atmosphere.
Next up, Kelly Carter took a seat. Kelly has been a member of the organization for close to a year and has had the opportunity to work with various companies, groups, and organizations in the Carlsbad/San Diego, CA area. Kelly spoke freely about the process of meeting with HRs and working with seminar attendees, building strong and lasting relationships. He explained the process of locating a speaker in your area and how that has impacted his life. SOFA's goal is to connect members with individuals in their communities who need assistance. Kelly has been able to work with the individuals that he meets through SOFA's workshops to solve some of their larger more pressing financial dilemmas.
Lastly, Pam Kreis donated her time to speak about what SOFA workshops have to offer the attendee. She spoke about her personal relationship to finances and how she wishes she would have started thinking about her finances sooner! Many of us share this thought! Have you ever thought, "Man, if I had only started my retirement plan 5 years ago I would have had "X" amount of money!" or maybe…"I wish I would have learned the benefits and disadvantages of opening up credit cards at every store in the mall… I'm really paying for it now"?
As an organization we understand that discussing finances and financial blunders is something taboo and "off limits". We are opening the door for this discussion to ensure that we are able to help all to find financial comfort!
The Society for Financial Awareness is a nationwide Non-Profit Educational Speaker's Bureau that provides free financial workshops to companies, organizations, city and federal governments, places of worship, other non-profit organizations, and more. SOFA's mission is to end financial illiteracy, one community at a time, by conducting financial education workshops across the country.
